Corporate Gift Production: MOQ, Timelines and Branding Methods

A premium corporate gift should feel designed for the recipient and the brand—not like a catalogue item with a logo added at the last moment.

Corporate Gift Production: MOQ, Timelines and Branding Methods

Key takeaways

  • Choose between stock customisation, semi-custom production and product development from zero.
  • Confirm recipient count, budget, delivery geography and deadline before selecting the object.
  • Packaging, personalisation and kitting can take as long as the product itself.
  • Approve a complete packed sample before mass production.

Three production routes

RouteIndicative MOQTypical calendar
Stock product + branding25–100 units2–5 weeks
Semi-custom colour/material/pack100–300 units6–10 weeks
Product developed from zero300–1,000+ depending on category10–20+ weeks

The product category can override these ranges. Custom ceramics, knitwear, leather goods, fragrance, metal items and food each have different tooling, test and shelf-life constraints.

Budget the complete experience

Separate product, branding, packaging, assembly, inserts, personalisation, freight, duty, fulfilment and contingency. A box that looks inexpensive can become a major cost after rigid construction, inserts, foil, hand assembly and volumetric shipping.

Reserve 5–10% replacement quantity for VIP delivery, damaged packs and late recipient changes where the item and budget allow it.

Branding method follows material

  • Embroidery: tactile and durable; test distortion and reverse side.
  • Screen or digital print: flexible; test adhesion, wash and colour.
  • Jacquard: branding is built into the textile; higher setup and yarn constraints.
  • Emboss/deboss: strong on leather and paper; test depth and grain.
  • Engraving: durable on metal, glass or wood; contrast varies by substrate.
  • Custom mould or hardware: distinctive but adds tooling, MOQ and calendar.

Approval and delivery

Approve the real product, real branding, final insert and complete packed set. Record Pantone or physical colour standard, placement, tolerances, packing order and carton configuration.

For RG Development, branding was integrated into a premium cashmere plaid rather than added as a separate badge. LEFFERS combined product categories with presentation packaging. These projects require one owner across product, packaging and delivery.

DeadlineWork backwards from the date recipients must receive the gift—not from the date goods leave the factory.
